[...] About me, let’s see. My name is Nicolás and I live in Argentina, in a city called Córdoba, a city also known as “La Docta” (the wise) because here are the National University, founded by the Jesuits in the 17th century, and some of the most important schools in South America.
I was born on 14th October, 1989, so now I am 20 years old. I study English and Spanish at the School of Languages of the National University. I am studying to be a legal translator and a languages teacher. In Argentina, the education system is different from those of the U.S. or the U.K., for example, courses last from April to October.
I do not know much about universities in the United States but here, it takes at least five years to become a legal transtator or teacher. I will start my 3rd year in April. I do not have a job, it is not very common in my city for people of my age to work. I think I am very mature and consider myself a man although many people see me as a teenager or even as a kid (when clean shaved, a lot of people think I’m 14 years old…)
I really enjoy writing, even though I haven’t done so in quite a few months. I really like to think for myself and analyse things carefully. I enjoy reading poetry and short thought-provoking stories. The last book I read was Albert Camus’s The First Man.
I seldom watch TV. I like going to the theatre and would like to act. I like working out and, you know, being healthy overall. I love listening to music and would like to learn to play the piano. I don’t have a girlfriend and have a few real friends.
I strive to become a great man and a great lexicographer. [...]
